  • GOAL! Brighton 0-1 Arsenal: Ethan Nwaneri

    ARSENAL TAKE THE LEAD!

17-YEAR-OLD ETHAN NWANERI SCORES HIS SECOND PREMIER LEAGUE GOAL!

The Gunners have been the better team from the off, controlling the ball and creating some chances.

On this attack, Nwaneri is slotted down the right by Mikel Merino and he drives towards goal...

The teenager isn't closed down, he cuts in slightly and bends a calm finish into the bottom corner.

Nwaneri is now the first player to score more than one Premier League goal for Arsenal before his 18th birthday.

  • CHANCE! Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

    Bart Verbuggen denies Gabriel Jesus!

The Arsenal striker is slotted in down the right side of the box and he looks to finish across goal...

But Verbruggen gets a leg out to save brilliantly.

The offside flag eventually goes up but the Brighton goalkeeper won't have known that at the time.

Just over 10 minutes in and we're still goalless.

  • Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

It's been Arsenal in control so far, as expected.

A lot of the attacking play has been coming down the left.

That's where Leandro Trossard is, and he's being booed by the Brighton fans every time he touches the ball.

The former Seagull isn't very welcome back at the Amex.

He's had the only shot of the game and that was blocked.

  • Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

We're underway at the Amex Stadium!

Arsenal are looking to close the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool to just three points.

Thomas Tuchel has made it to the game after also watching Tottenham lose to Newcastle earlier today.

He'll have his eye on some of the Englishmen in action.

  • 'Very annoying'

Jadon Sancho provided a superb assist to Cole Palmer in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

But the winger isn't happy with his side dropping more points and now going winless in four games.

"It's very annoying to not get the three points," Sancho told Match of the Day. "You have to take your chance and if you don't it's never over.

"To concede that goal right at the end is very frustrating."

He added: "I'm very happy to be improving my football and since day one here I've felt good and the staff and players have welcomed me.

"I just have to show 100% on the pitch.

"There's still a long way to go this season, today was frustrating but we move on and learn from it."

  • Bouncing back

Man City's Kevin De Bruyne is pleased to see some improvement after what was a terrible run of form for his side.

The reigning champions have now won two in a row after only winning one in their previous 13 in all competitions.

Speaking to Sky Sports, De Bruyne said: "It is a little step.

"Moments we played good. I think it was much better against Leicester. We lost some energy but there were some improvements so that is alright.

"We understand a bit more what we have done in the last 10 years and how hard it is. At the moment we are a bit below that.

"We are working really hard and the team is coming back fitness-wise.

"There were moments we played well, other moments less. It's a bit of an improvement but we understand it still has to be better.

"You don't put yourself down too much. We have not been at this level this year. Everybody said, 'City are winning all the time, it must be easy,' it is not."

  • Benching explained

Mikel Arteta has revealed why Martin Odegaard has been benched against Brighton this evening.

The Arsenal boss told the media pre-match at the Amex that his captain has been suffering from illness.

Kai Havertz is also out through illness still too, with Arteta saying him and Odegaard aren't 'fully recovered'.

Gabriel Martinelli is on the bench as he has a slight issue.

  • FULL TIME

It's all over around the grounds!

Crystal Palace have held Chelsea to a draw thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta's late equaliser at Selhurst Park.

It means the Blues are now winless in four...

Man City have made it two wins in two by beating West Ham 4-1 and seemingly putting their dismal run behind them.

Elsewhere, Brentford have scored two late goals to embarrass Southampton and win 5-0 on the road.

Everton have lost to Bournemouth too, with the Cherries keeping up their impressive unbeaten run.

They haven't lost in eight and that's a club record.

    • Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester
    • Bournemouth 1-0 Everton
    • Crystal Palace 1-1 Chelsea
    • Southampton 0-5 Brentford
    • Man City 4-1 West Ham
  • Stoppage time

Into stoppage time in the Premier League.

Chelsea now need to find another goal to regain the lead, after Crystal Palace levelled it late on.

Man City have wrapped a second much-needed win up at the Etihad against West Ham.

Brentford have certainly won against Southampton too.

The games are still in the balance between Aston Villa and Leicester and Bournemouth and Everton.

Only one goal separates those sides in their matches.

  • GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-1 Chelsea: Jean-Philippe Mateta

    PALACE ARE LEVEL WITH CHELSEA!

    JEAN-PHILIPPE MATETA HAS SCORED!

Chelsea dominated the first half but they've let the hosts back into the game in the second.

Eberechi Eze passes across goal to find Mateta and he beats Marc Cucurella to the ball to equalise.

There are goals everywhere in the Premier League!

  • GOAL! Bournemouth 1-0 Everton: David Brooks

Now we have an opener at the Vitality!

Bournemouth are going to continue their unbeaten record and remain three points off a place in the top four!

David Brooks volleys in to give the Cherries the lead.

Andoni Iraola's side are flying at the moment!

  • GOAL! Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester: Leon Bailey

    Aston Villa regain the lead!

Leon Bailey strikes into the bottom corner from close range with just over 10 minutes to go in the Midlands!

It comes from Leicester giving the ball away as they're trying to play our from the back.

James Justin sells Jordan Ayew short, Villa break into the box and then Baily taps home.

  • GOAL! Man City 4-1 West Ham: Niclas Fullkrug

    One back for West Ham!

Pep Guardiola is raging on the sideline as his side give up their clean sheet against the Hammers.

Niclas Fullkrug puts one past Stefan Ortega to reignite a small amount of hope for Julen Lopetegui's side.

Although a late comeback now is surely too much to ask.

  • GOALS!

We've had some more goals around the grounds!

Brentford doubled their lead through Bryan Mbeumo just after the hour mark against Southampton.

And then Mbeumo made it 3-0 from the penalty spot.

At Villa Park, Ross Barkley's goal has been cancelled out by Stephy Mavididi for Leicester.

Mavidid has given the Foxes a crucial goal back as we head into the final 20 minutes of this afternoon's games.

  • Arsenal duo dropped

We've got the team news for Arsenal's clash with Brighton.

And Mikel Arteta has dropped two of his key stars.

Captain Martin Odegaard is on the bench along with Gabriel Martinelli, as Jorginho and Leandro Trossard come in.

Ethan Nwaneri remains in the starting line-up while Kai Havertz is not in the squad at all again.

As for Brighton, Matt O'Riley comes into the team while Kaoru Mitoma remains a substitute.

Pervis Estupinan is back at left-back after illness.

Brighton XI: Verbruggen, Julio, Van Hecke, Veltman, Estupinan, Baleba, Ayari, O'Riley, Gruda, Adingra, Pedro.

Subs: Steele, Lamptey, Webster, March, Enciso, Rutter, Moder, Minteh, Mitoma

Arsenal XI: Raya, Partey, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Jorginho, Rice, Merino, Nwaneri, Trossard, Jesus.

Subs: Neto, Tierney, Odegaard, Martinelli, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Butler-Oyedji, Kabia, Lewis-Skelly

  • GOAL! Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester: Ross Barkley

Goals galore! Aston Villa now lead!

It's Ross Barkley who fires in from the edge of the box,

Jannik Vestergaard can't clear with a header and the ball drops to Barkley who brilliantly finishes.

This game hasn't had many chances at all, so scoring that first goal could be the difference!

  • GOAL! Man City 4-0 West Ham: Phil Foden

    MAN CITY ARE FLYING NOW!

Phil Foden makes it four for the hosts at the Etihad!

Mohammed Kudus plays a lazy pass to Edson Alvarez and it comes straight to Kevin de Bruyne.

De Bruyne races forward and then finds Foden who puts it through Alphonse Areola's legs.

Perry Groves live on talkSPORT: "Kudus, that's embarrassing.

"He didn't even chase back, that is unacceptable."

  • GOAL! Man City 3-0 West Ham: Erling Haaland

    IT'S ANOTHER FOR ERLING HAALAND!

The Norweigan perfectly dinks Alphonse Areola to score his second of the game at the Etihad.

Savinho is the provider for the second time, slotting him through with the outside of his left foot.

Confidence is coming back into this Man City side.

Perry Groves live on talkSPORT: "He was never going to miss.

"It was Man City at their smooth purring best."

  • Early chances

Crystal Palace miss a great chance to equalise!

Eberechi Eze receives the ball inside the Chelsea penalty area but he drags his effort wide of the post!

Meanwhile, at the Etihad, Vladimir Coufal sees a shot saved by Stefan Ortega in the opening stages of the second half.

One goal back would make the champions nervous.

Erling Haaland has just gone down injured for Man City in that game, however, it seems he will be able to continue.

  • Restart

We're back underway around the grounds.

Manchester City are looking set for another win, but their defence still looks nervy when West Ham come forward.

The Hammers had more shots in the first half, although none of their seven efforts were on target.

Should City hold on to a victory at the Etihad, it will do their confidence no end of good.

Chelsea will want a second goal against Crystal Palace to get their job done, while we're awaiting goals at the Vitality and Villa Park.

  • 'I'm really, really angry'

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has raged in his post-match interviews when asked about his side's defeat this afternoon.

Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle, with one of the goals coming from a controversial handball that wasn't given.

In reference to that, Postecoglou said at his press conference: “I’m really, really angry, angriest I think I have ever been in my career.

“It was a fantastic performance and we were denied the reward. Hats off to my players."

Speaking to talkSPORT, the Tottenham boss showed how unhappy he was during a fiery interview with Sam Matterface.

He said straight after the game: "Outstanding effort by the players, I couldn't be prouder of them.

"On any other day, on a fair and even playground, we would have won that game."

"What do you mean by that," Matterface asked, but Postecoglou hastily replied: "Just that we would have won that game if it was an even and fair playground mate."

Matterface then asked what he thought was unfair about the match but the Spurs manager offered another seemingly frustrated response.

"I think it's pretty evident what was unfair about it," he said, before being questioned on whether it was the officials he was unhappy with.

"You don't want to have an opinion, you want to ask for my opinion? My opinion is that it wasn't an even and fair playing field, that's it."

  • Half time

We've reached the halfway mark of the 3pms.

Manchester go into the break 2-0 up and they're on their way to a second straight win in the Premier League.

Chelsea lead at Selhurst Park and should have more goals.

Kevin Schade's goal for Brentford has them in front away at Southampton, while Bournemouth and Everton are level.

It's goalless between Aston Villa and Leicester too, with that game barely even having a chance for either side.

    Half time scores

    • Aston Villa 0-0- Leicester
    • Bournemouth 0-0 Everton
    • Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea
    • Southampton 0-1 Brentford
    • Man City 2-0 West Ham
  • GOAL! Man City 2-0 West Ham: Erling Haaland

    ERLING HAALAND SCORES AGAIN!

THAT'S TWO IN TWO FOR THE BIG MAN!

It's fair to say that his drought is well and truly over!

Savinho is the one to provide the assist from a cross, just as he did against Leicester a few days ago.

The Brazilian lifts one into the box and Haaland heads home.

Ian Danter live on talkSPORT: "It's 2-0 to Man City but that doesn't tell the whole story.

"West Ham have had multiple chances to go in front."

  • How's your luck?

    Armando Broja is so unlucky.

He had been sidelined through injury for the entire season until the start of December when he made his first Everton appearance.

And the Chelsea loanee has just claimed a starting spot, being preferred to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto.

But now he's seemingly picked up another injury.

Broja is forced off with not long left in the first half, with Calvert-Lewin coming on in his place.

Fingers crossed that's nothing serious for the striker.

  • Pushing for another

Brentford have been piling the pressure on Southampton.

After taking the lead, it's been one-way traffic and Christian Norgaard hit the bar a few moments ago.

Yoane Wissa has seen a shot saved too, while Mikel Damsgaard sent an effort just wide of the post.

Meanwhile, as Selhurst Park, Chelsea should be 2-0 up.

Pedro Neto drives to the byline and cuts one back towards Cole Palmer but he just can't get a touch on it.

It remains goalless at Villa Park between Leicester and Aston Villa, and it's the same between Everton and Bournemouth.
